Digital IN-clusion: our priority
The DIGITAL-IN project – “DIGITAL Skills for the INclusion of Digitally Vulnerable Groups (DVG)” – contributes towards increased take-up and inclusiveness of adult digital education. The project offers focused research on the conditions, vulnerability factors and digital needs of individuals in DVGs that are essential to a learner’s centered approach.
It creates step-by-step guidelines for more inclusive digital skills trainings and a support digital literacy course with modules and adequate educational material in five EU languages. A wide range of digital inclusion stakeholders and experts across Europe are involved in the development of functional and sustainable tools for trainers operating with digitally vulnerable learners via thematic groups, workshop and joint learning activities.
The tools created are a practical aid in the work of education and training staff and improve the effectiveness of the digital literacy actions targeted at DVG learners with a clear focus on the learners’ specific needs and challenges.
The project is expected to foster inclusivity on a multitude of levels by changing the way education and training actors and other stakeholders think and treat current and future socio-digital gaps.
